The Prez Sez
Greetings to all RAFINO Members and Spouses! First, I would like to thank the
organization for confirming my election to president for the 2022-2024 term. And
special thanks to Tom Mckenna and his team for a spectacular effort to provide all of
us with the grand Reunion that was held in Indianapolis at the beginning of October.
The highlight of the event was the Vietnam-era presentations of a Presidential
Proclamation and a Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin.
Charleston! Charleston! Charleston! During my tenure, I will be laser focused on
producing for your camaraderie, enjoyment, and entertainment a 2024 Reunion in
Charleston, South Carolina, that offers great venues and events to make our Reunion
a destination worthy of your attendance. Our team, headed up by John Veal, the VP for Reunions, will do the
heavy lifting and planning for our Reunion. Our working title and theme for the 2024 Reunion is “The Army
Finance Corps down through the Years.”
Feedback, Please! Since RAFINO is a virtual organization, member and spouse feedback is even more
important as the new Board moves the organization forward on those endeavors that will most benefit our
membership. Below, I have provided some of my aspirational goals for the 2022-2024 term. Please provide me
with your overall comments and any additions you would want to see in my list of goals. Likewise, any
counterpoints to the goals that I have already listed would be greatly appreciated.
Kelly Goals for RAFINO 2023-2024
2024 Reunion: Increase attendance at the 2024 RAFINO Reunion by building on the success of the Fort Harrison
2022 event and gain consensus around the event and venue selection in and around the host city of our 2024
Reunion in Charleston. The Board will also consider a possible change from the October time frame to the May
time frame to coincide with the Finance Corps Regimental Ball.
