Ms. CECCHINI, SJELJA to TAPS

Ms. GRETHE SJELJA CECCHINI, (Wife of COL LOUIS), passed away 12/17/2012.

Known to her friends and family as Sheila passed on Monday, December 17, 2012 at her residence in Riderwood Village, Silver Spring with her husband of 64 years by her bedside. Sheila is the beloved wife of COL. (Ret.) Louis A. Cecchini; mother of Al Cecchini and his wife Linda and LTC. (Ret.) Charles Cecchini and fiancée Roxy Lane; sister of Inge Liz Terkelsen; grandmother of Paul Cecchini, Daniel Cecchini, David Cecchini, Johanna McCoskey and the late Vincent Cecchini.

Sheila was born on September 4, 1919 in Copenhagen, Denmark. She loved to sew, do needlepoint and knit. One of Sheila's longtime hobbies was collecting foreign recipes and used them to spoil her husband and sons.
