MAJ RICHEY, ELBA L. to TAPs

MAJ Richey passed away at the age of 86 at his home in Nashville, TN.  He was a former resident of New Albany, IN, and Louisville, KY.

He served in the Army for 23 years, retiring as a Finance Corps Major.  Following his retirement he started his second career, working for the Louisville Water Company for 24 years.  He retired from the Water Company in 1991 as Sr Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer.

He was proud to serve God and his country, always remembering our military personnel in his prayers.  At the time of his death, he was a member of Bellview Baptist Church, Nashville, TB.  He was a former member of First Baptist Church in New Albany and St Matthews Baptist Church in Louisville.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Jacques Richey, four children, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His last act of love was to donate his remains to Vanderbilt University Research.
