SGM P. ROSS KIDDIE To TAPS (UPDATE)

We are sad to announce that on July 13, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Pierce Kiddie of Newcastle, Oklahoma, born 27 AUG 1945 in Detroit, Michigan. died 13 JUL 2021 in NewCastle, OK.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Pierce Leavitt Kiddie and Florence Larainie Kiddie (Sorres). He is survived by : his wife Sheila Kiddie (Shelden); his children, Eric Kiddie (Lori) and Erin Wilkins (Chris) of Cochran, GA.; his grandchildren, Natalie, Sean Vineyard, Dakota, Gage Kiddie, Suzy Wilkins, Shane, Ryan Kiddie, Tim, Amy Crismon and Andy Crismon; and his great grandchildren, Madi Kiddie, Kira, Phoenix Crismon, Emily and Allison Wilkins.

Pierce ‘Ross’ Kiddie

(August 27, 1945 - July 13, 2021)

Graveside Memorial Services will be held in Ft. Sill National Cemetery on July 22, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. for Pierce ‘Ross’ Kiddie of Newcastle, OK. Pierce ‘Ross’ Kiddie passed away on July 13, 2021 in his home. He was born on August 27, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to Pierce Leavitt and Florence (Sommes) Laramie. He married Sheila S. (Sheldon) Kiddie on July 1, 1967 in Edmond, OK. He served in the U.S. Army for over 28 years and retired as a Sergeant Major. During that time, he spent 1 year in Vietnam and 16 years in Germany in artillery and finance. After his military career he graduated from USAO and taught at OCCC in the service department. He volunteered as a leader for the Boy Scouts of America for 30 years, he was awarded the Silver Beaver Award and was a vigil member of the Order of the Arrow. ‘Ross’ was also a member of the Wanderguppe Walking Club, V.F.W. & Boy Scouts of America.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: His wife Sheila Kiddie of the home. Sons; Eric Kiddie & wife Lori of Deer Park, Washington. Steven Kiddie & wife Rebecca of Tuttle, OK. Daughter: Erin Wilkins & husband Chris of Cochran, GA. Grandchildren: Natalie & Sean Vineyard, Dakota & Gage Kiddie, and Suzy Wilkins., Shane & Ryan Kiddie, Tim & Amy Crismon, Andy Crismon. Great grandchildren: Madi Kiddie, Kira and Phoenix Crismon, Emily and Allison Wilkins. Sister Marion Walsworth & Husband Glen and family and brother Scott Laramie and family. 

In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions can be made to the VFW or DAV.
