Did not know Fort Ben history before the Finance Corp entered the picture and made it the center of the universe.....

 

Interesting read on Spanish Flu  (https://blog.history.in.gov/tag/spanish-flu/).  Good suggestions. Keep body in good shape:  workout, stop spitting, and stop drinking alcoholic beverages (oops)….Even back then some were trying to blame it on soldiers.

 

Good pictures of the Post. Especially the one of the hospital, which later became the Post Headquarters Building.  Note caption below photo with Doc Stephen Bower name.  From his office there he could observe 1st tee and its said he did most of his research in the afternoon while taking a staff walk around the golf course. No wonder he has a low handicap......
