FMNet Members:

1. The Chief of the Finance Corps, COL Rick Hoerner, and the Command Sergeant Major of the Finance Corps, CSM Gernaro A. Penn, invite all of our subscribers to join in on the celebration of the U.S. Army's 244th birthday on 14 June, as well as the U.S. Army Finance Corps 244th birthday on 16 June.

Our Finance Corps originated on 16 June 1775, when the Second Continental Congress appointed James Warren Paymaster General of the Army.  We have one of the longest lineages in the Army and have continually transformed to meet the needs of changing operational environments.

Let us remember the time-honored traditions started on each of these dates and continue to honor all those who have served before, by upholding the Army values infinitely.
