1. (New) COL Richard J. Hoerner and CSM Gennaro A. Penn, the Chief and the Command Sergeant Major of the Finance Corps, would like to remind our subscribers about the significant place in history May 7, 1987, holds.

The Finance Corps Regiment was activated and organized as an entire branch under the U.S. Army Regimental System.  This act provided a renewal of branch traditions and a bonding mechanism, along with the Corps new motto, "To Support and Serve," giving an accurate description of the Finance Corps mission of supporting and serving soldiers and commanders on the battlefield.

1. (New) On May 3, Several Soldiers, civilians, and Family members solemnly gathered at the 369th Adjutant General Battalion dining facility, to participate in the building’s dedication ceremony to CPL Samuel F. Pearson, an Army finance specialist killed in action on October 10, 2007.
