CSM Aaron B ISAAC to TAPs

Aaron Benjamin Isaac Jr. was born January 7, 1951 in Buffalo, New York to parents Aaron Benjamin Isaac Sr. and Theora Ophelia Fleming Isaac. Aaron passed into eternal rest on August 26, 2018. At the age of 21, Aaron joined the United States Army and for the next 30 years, traveled the world, serving his country from New Jersey to Panama, Korea, Bosnia-Herzegovina plus multiple tours in Texas and Germany. During this time, he received multiple accolades as a distinguished soldier. While in the US Army he served as an infantryman, airborne instructor, paratrooper, and received the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (5th award), Army Achievement Medal (6th award),and the National Defense Service Medal (3rd award). After 30 years of service, Aaron retired as a Command Sergeant Major from the 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment “Black Knights” in Fort Hood, Texas. After retiring from active duty, Aaron continued to serve his country by working for the State Department as a courier while in Germany. He then worked for the Hearts with Hope Foundation as a mentor and provided care for children, and finally the Quartermaster for VFW Post 2427 in Tomball, Texas. Aaron was a man of God who built his hope and trust on the Lord and believed the truth of His Word. He served with courage and selflessness within the church and community. He diligently taught Mid-week Bible Study classes, Men’s Bible study, was a strong supporter of youth events, security staff member, mentor for Friday night live events at C.C.C., as well as serving his pastors, church family and was an avid supporter of his wife in her military career, outreach ministries and community service; leader and co-heads of the family support group for the 39th Finance Battalion in Hanau, Germany, using his Masters Business Administration (MBA) degree to the best of his ability and training. Aaron was passionate about fishing, golfing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, collecting Buffalo Soldier memorabilia, maintaining his fresh water fish tank, making his own salad dressing and playing chess. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved everyone, giving of himself 110%--always willing to listen. Aaron was a positive thinker and he found security in God’s loving relationship. The foundation of his life was built upon the solid rock of Jesus. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 39+ years, Opan Veronica Isaac; daughters: Synette Nicole Isaac, Monique Antionette Isaac-Hollins; grandson Cyrenthien Jarai Isaac; son-in-law Curtis A. Hollins, Jr.; sister Ophelia H. Isaac “Vickey”; nephews: Spencer K. Floyd, James Ralph Cook; niece O’Neisha Cook; half-brother John S. Isaac; half-sisters: Katherine Isaac, Ruth Isaac and numerous other relatives and many friends. Aaron left such a positive impression on the lives that he touched. He now sits amongst the angels and will forever be in our hearts.
