COL ALBERT G. LANE To TAPS

COL LANE, Albert G. of Clearwater, passed on March 14, 2010 of natural causes. Born into a military family. Albert lived in the U.S. and Panama as a youth, and served 30 years in the U.S. Army before retiing as a Colonel at West Point, NY. He moved his wife and son to Florida, where he worked as a business manager for Stetson College of Law in Gulfport. He then retired for medical reasons, but continued to be active at Faith Presbyterian Church in Seminole as an Elder and teaching children. His first wife died seven years ago, but he remarried within a year. He is survived by his wife, Norma; son, Garry Lane of St. Petersburg; a stepson, Jeffrey Green; 2 step-daughters, Terry Orosco and Vicki Loomer Turney; 4 step-grandchildren; and 1 step-great-grandchild.
