MAJ JAMES L. FRASCATORE To TAPS

MAJ (RET) James L. Frascatore, 69, of Simi Valley, California, passed away after a short illness on July 23, 2016. He was born in Gloversville, N.Y., the son of Mary DeSantis Frascatore and Charles Frascatore on August 15, 1946.

He attended grade school at Mt. Carmel and then Bishop Burke High School and graduated from Gloversville in 1964. He attended Siena College, where he earned a B.S. degree in computer science and finance and upon graduation was comissioned a second lieutenant of the U.S. Army through the ROTC program. Immediately after graduation he was sent to Korea for his first tour of duty. He then served back in the U.S. at Nadic Labs just outside of Boston, on to North Folk, Virginia, then Germany, Alaska, Wshington, D.C. and finally California, where he settled and married Mary Beth Magaldi. He retired from the Army after 20 years of service on March 31, 1989. He then established the Bonds Brokerage business T.S.F.S.G. He was a councilman for the city of Simi Valley, and an avid gardener in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Frascatore of Simi Valley; his mother, Mary DeSantis Frascatore; a sister, Janis Frascatore Rorick; a brother, Charles Frascatore (Pam), one niece, one nephew, all of Gloversville; an uncle, Richard DeSantis; an aunt, Nellie DeSantis; and many cousins.
