LTC ROBERT T. FEE To TAPS

LTC (RET) Robert T. Fee. -passed away on June 2, 2005 in San Rafael, CA after a brief illness. Born in Boston, MA on January 6, 1917, the son of Thomas and Mary Fee, he grew up in Wollaston, MA, graduated from Quincy High School in 1935 and Boston College, Class of 1939. Mr. Fee entered active service in the Army in World War II as a 2nd Lieutenant in January 1941. He spent 48 months overseas in Australia, New Guinea, the Philippines and Japan, part of this time as a staff member for General Douglas MacArthur. Among his many decorations he was awarded the Bronze Star. He left the service in 1947 as a Lieutenant Colonel and then spent many years as an executive with General Motors in Australia and Venezuela, and with Singer Corporation in Istanbul, Turkey. He also lived in New Jersey, Connecticut and lastly, many years in California. Mr. Fee was married to the former Merna O'Fee of Brighton, New South Wales, Australia in 1942. He was predeceased by his wife, Merna, a son, Paul, and three brothers in Massachusetts, Richard, William and Thomas. He is survived by three sons in California, Stephen and David of San Anselmo, Peter of Livermore; a daughter Catherine Ens of Madera; 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Peter, of Hingham, MA, two nieces, Kristan Munson of Peabody, MA and Nancy Cook of Berwick, ME and two nephews, Richard A. Fee, Jr. of Northridge, CA, and John Fee of Marshfield, MA.
