LTC NEVILLE E. M. HOLDER To TAPS

LTC (Ret) Neville E.M. Holder, age 73, resident of Columbus, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside services are scheduled at Main Post Cemetery, Fort Benning, Georgia on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, 10 a.m. LTC Holder, son of the late Edwin Victor Holder, Sr. and Mary Irene Sullivan Holder, was born January 23, 2042 in Vanceburg, Kentucky. He was retired from the U.S. Army where he served honorably as an Finance Officer for over 21 years. During his distinguished military career he served in Vietnam and was awarded numerous medals and ribbons to include the Bronze Star; Meritorious Service Medal (3OLC); Army Commendation Medal; and Vietnam Service Medal (4 Bronze Stars). After his retirement, LTC Holder served as CFO and later Administrator of Muscogee Manor. He then served on the TIC Board of Directors and as an active member of MOAA. LTC Holder attended The Infantry Center Chapel, Fort Benning, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Ellen Montgomery Holder and a brother, E.V. Holder, Jr. LTC Holder is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Holder Jones and her husband Dan of Cumming, Georgia; a son, Ron Holder and his wife Fran of Dacula, Georgia; sister, Mary Barlow of Owensboro, Kentucky; five grandchildren, McKenzie Holder, James Holder, Amelia Holder, Miller Jones, Eliza Jones; many other relatives and friends.
