Ms. JOYCE STELMACHOWICZ to TAPS

Ms. JOYCE STELMACHOWICZ, (Wife of COL PETER), passed away 7/24/2014.

Mrs. Stelmachowicz died July 24, 2014, after a short illness with complications from leukemia. She was born May 16, 1929, in Mexia.
She retired from the federal government.
Mrs. Stelmachowicz was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Letha Thornton.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, the love of her life, retired Col. Peter J. Stelmachowicz; her loving sister, Lavon Smith; nephew, Rusty Smith and his wife, Becky, of Harker Heights; great-nephews, Andrew Smith of Austin, Todd Smith and his wife, Kim, of Belton and Mathew Smith and his wife, Saemi, of Seoul, South Korea; great-great-nieces, Evelyn and Sophia; brother-in-law, James of Boca Raton, Fla.; stepsister, Virginia York and family of Mexia; and last but not least, her precious pet, Susie.
