Ms LINDA NELSON To TAPS

Ms LINDA NELSON passed away 4/2/2016.

She was born December 6, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Antonio and Catherine (Zecca) Ianniccari. 

Visitation will be Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Rd. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, with visitation one hour prior.

Linda married LT William J. Nelson, U.S. Army, in 1952, and remained his devoted wife for 61 years. Linda was a loving mother to their five children, Kathleen A. (Daniel) Houlihan, James R. (Stacy) Nelson, William J. (Kristina) Nelson, Christine L. (David) Scarchilli and John D. (Laura) Nelson; and grandmother to seven grandchildren, Jay, Jonathan, Matthew, Katelyn, Kyla, Jillian and Frank; and six great-grandchildren, all surviving. COL (Ret) William J. Nelson passed away in 2013. Linda will be laid to rest with him in Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be determined.

Linda was a parishioner at Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church and a member of the Army Wives Club. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
