It is my sad duty to report that our dear friend Harold Golden passed away a week ago in Florida where he had spent his retirement years with his dear wife Wanda who died last March. We learned of Harold's death when we contacted their children, Denise and Dennis last week. --We were told in an Email this week that the funeral and military burial arrangements will be handled by : Grace Funeral Home in Florida, and to go to GraceFuneralHomeHudson.com to learn of all the details.---  Harold will be long remembered for his famed story-telling, and his keen wit. Our friendship and family-ties began in1962-1964 when we were assigned to Fort Wainwright, In Fairbanks, Alaska and our families shared the nuances of Arctic life. We also had overlapping assignments in Washington, D.C. and Vietnam.
