Entered the Army in September 1966 via direct commission and went to FOBC @ Ft Ben. First duty assignment post FOBC was Deputy F&AO, 6th US Army, Presidio, CA. Oct 67 assigned as Deputy FO, 1st Brigade Separate, 101st AD, Phan Rang, RVN. March 68-Oct 68, FO, Co B, 5th SFG, Pleiku, RVN. Jump school in-country, RVN, 1968. Nov 68 reassigned to Ft Ben as CC, Hq Co USAFS, then to FOBC Staff & Faculty. 1970-71 completed studies for BS @ Butler U. 1972-73, F&AO, USAWC, Carlisle Barracks, PA.
