Duna Poteat Open-Heart Surgery 8/21/12

I'm afraid my mom will have to miss this year's reunion.  She is scheduled for open heart surgery on Tuesday, August 21st, to replace an underperforming valve.  Other than the valve being replaced, the doctor said her heart and arteries look amazing for someone her age.  We're hoping she'll be back at full throttle once she recovers from the surgery.

As you can imagine, she's very disappointed to miss the reunion but the cardiologist said it will just be too soon after the surgery for her to fly.  Mom's already setting her sights on attending the next one - New Orleans, right?  She plans to write you a little note, too, but asked that I send you a quick email to let you know what's going on.
