Mrs. Laurie S. IMPAVIDO to TAPs

Mrs. Laurie S. IMPAVIDO passed away on Friday, May 04, 2012.

She passed away unexpectedly while working at SunTrust Investment Services in Savannah, Georgia.

Born October 1, 1959, in Troy, New York, Laurie was the eldest daughter of David H. Crounse, of Castleton, NY, and Dorothy R. Baker, of Oro Valley, AZ.

Laurie graduated from Shaker High School in Latham, New York, in 1977, and graduated from the University of Maine in 1990 with a degree in Finance.

Laurie is survived by her husband, US Army Colonel Leo Impavido (active duty Finance Officer), sons Jake and Sam, sister Melissa C. Hayward, of Clifton, ME, and brother David A. Crounse, of Keller, TX. Laurie loved to cook, read, and spend time with close family and friends. Laurie also loved spending time at her camp in Maine. With boundless talent and unstoppable energy, Laurie did a tremendous amount of good for hundreds of Army soldiers and families throughout her years as an Army wife and as the leader of several Unit Family Readiness Groups in North Carolina, Texas, Korea, and New York. Above all, Laurie loved her family and living life with her husband and two sons. Viewing will be held on Thursday,

May 10, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home, located at 10512 Ford Avenue, Richmond Hill, GA 31324. A service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012, at 11 a.m., also at Carter Funeral Home. Following the funeral service, there will be a committal service at 1 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located at 8819 U.S. Highway 301, Glennville, GA 30427
