UPDATE: Ms SALLY PEDERSEN To TAPS

Mrs SALLY PEDERSEN passed away 1/1/2024.

On 2 JAN 2024, we received this message from her son, Arne:

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of my Mom’s passing today.  She passed peacefully this morning.  I was rather shocked to say the least.  She seemed to be healthy prior to Christmas when I saw her before going to Florida for Christmas vacation.  I spoke with her on Christmas Day as many of you probably also did and she seemed fine then as well.

 

The Nurse Manager for her unit did share the nursing notes with me.  My Mom was not feeling 100% on Thursday and refused the “happy hour” treat they provide residence that day.  She did refuse her meds over the weekend.  She started on a new med on Sunday night and seemed fine with that.  I was called this morning and told that she was not breathing, and they were attempting CPR on her.  By the time I got to Westminster, she was not revived.  I talked with Nurse Manager and then spent a good portion of the day grieving.  I spoke with my brothers, Dave and Olie, on a three-way call.  It was hard.  A dear friend of the family, Carolyn Wright, came straight over.  Thank you, Carolyn!

 

The season of lament is not over for the Pedersen family. 

 

Please pray for my brothers and I to trust the Lord through this season of Lament.  Please also pray for us to carry on the legacy left by my parents, a legacy of service to others.
