New Member - LTC BARRY W HOFFMAN

Please welcome LTC BARRY W HOFFMAN as the latest member of our RAFINO family.

Commissioned as a Second Lieutentant via Army ROTC and attended the Army Finance Officer Basic Course in 1987.  First active duty assignment was with the U.S. Army’s Berlin Brigade, Germany, where I served as a disbursing officer in the Finance and Accounting Office and later as the Chief of Military Pay.  My next assignment was with the 24th Finance Battalion, Fort Stewart, Georgia, where I served in a variety of positions including Chief of Pay and Examination, Detachment Commander, and Battalion Operations (S-3).  Upon my graduation from Auburn University in 1994 via Advanced Civil Schooling, I was assigned to the U.S. Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania, where I served as a computer systems engineer and later as Information Support Center chief. My next assignment was with the 13th Finance Group, Fort Hood, Texas, where I served in a variety of positions including 230th Finance Battalion Detachment Commander, III Corps Defense Military Pay Office Chief, and 215th Finance Battalion Executive Officer.  Following my graduation from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College in 2002, I was selected as a Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) military exchange officer serving on the staff of the British Armed Forces Personnel Administration Agency in Winchester, England.  Following this assignment, I returned stateside and was assigned as Financial Services Division Chief, DCS (G-8), HQs U.S. Army TRADOC, Fort Monroe, Virginia.  Shortly after my retirement from active duty in 2007 I entered Army civil service and served 12 years as the Director of Finance and Accounting, DC(G-8), HQs U.S. Army TRADOC.  I was then appointed to the Army's Senior Executive Service in 2020 and currently serving as the Deputy to the Commander for the U.S. Army Financial Management Command (USAFMCOM), Indianapolis, Indiana.
