Ms. ROBSON, NANCY to TAPS

2677, 07 Apr 2020

Ms. NANCY ROBSON, (Wife of LTC RICHARD), passed away 4/7/2020.

Nancy Jean Robson was born on September 11, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to Robert Charles Moore and Vivian Ruth Fancher.  Nancy passed away peacefully in her sleep, late in the evening of April 6, 2020*, at home, surrounded by her family. Nancy was raised in Paoli, Indiana with her younger sister Vivian Anne Moore Flueckiger.  Nancy attended college at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Following graduation, Nancy taught elementary school in Indianapolis.  While living in Indianapolis she met and married Richard Radcliffe Robson Sr., a Captain in the US Army stationed at Fort Benjamin Harrison.  They married at Fort Harrison on June 27, 1970.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Richard Radcliffe Robson Sr, her twins Richard Robson Jr, and Mary Elizabeth Robson Weiss, her youngest daughter Jennifer Anne Robson Sears.  Nancy is survived by her six grandchildren, Jackson Weiss, Alex Weiss, Michael Sears, Hana Robson, Ben Sears and Heidi Robson.  Nancy is also survived by her loving sister Vivian Anne Moore Flueckiger.  All surviving family live in Texas and will miss her dearly.  She is also survived by her loyal doggies Lila and Dilbert and tolerating parrot, Bibi.

Later in life, Nancy earned a master’s degree from Boston University in social work and applied that knowledge by volunteering to help others.  All her life Nancy (known by her family as “Nana”) loved to read and paint. She delighted in exploring nature, especially forests, and adored all its creatures.  She was the best mother and wife anyone could want.  She prided herself on being a doting and memorable Nana to her six grandchildren, often spending the whole day playing with them on their terms and their level.

She will live on in the memories of all who knew of her enduring kindness, her gentle spirit, and her ability to find humor in any situation.  Her life was one of selflessness, boundless love, and deep belly laughs until you cry.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to public radio station KERA (3000 Harry Hines Boulevard, Dallas, Texas 75201).  According to her wishes, a simple family memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Robby, I just found this post and I am shocked and saddened by the death of your wife, Nancy.  It is a shock and difficult to express my sorow at  your loss. . Both Val and I want to express our condolences to you for this death that you have experienced.  It seems like only the other day that the four of us were driving around at one of the recent reunions.  Val is 91 and I will be 92 in a couple of months and we find that aging results in frinend you knew passing you by.  I am glad to hear that you have lots of family there in Texas.   Rpger  or  "edge".

Robbie .... I just now saw that Nancy passed away earlier this month!  I was shocked, to say the least, and terribly saddened.  As you know, I was there at your side when you two got married.  She was such a SUPER gal and obviously a fantastic mom. I will never forget the fun times we all had at the Here Apartments in Indy many years ago.  You knew then that she was the right woman for you; and she certainly turned out to be such a wonderful wife & mother.  My prayerts go out to you & yours.  Affectionately,  Hunt Banister
