UPDATE: LTG Max W NOAH to TAPs

LTG Max W NOAH passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018.

Sharing the very sad news that LTG(RET) MAX NOAH passed away early this morning with Priscilla by his side at the hospital.  While his cause of his death will be determined, many of you know he has been struggling with a recent diagnosis of Churge Strauss Syndrome.

Priscilla spoke with Connie early this morning and asked that we share the news of his passing across the Engineer community...Any of you who knew LTG Noah can attest to his lifelong PASSION and LOYALTY to our profession, our Army, and the Regiment.

Our Engineer family intends to support Priscilla and family to the maximum degree possible.  

There will be a memorial service on 29 June 1600 hours at the Fort Belvior Woodlawn Chapel on North Post not far from the new Commissary and PX complex. The family have invited all comers to the ceremony with honors and to the Fort Belvior officers club following the ceremony to join us in a celebration of his life.

While all details have yet to be worked out, we expect services will be held at the Fort Myer Post Chapel with a burial to follow at West Point.  We will share more specifics at a later time.  In the meantime, you may send condolences to their home at 820 Arcturus-on-Potomac, Alexandria, VA 22308.

Please keep the Noah family in your thoughts and prayers - especially as we recognize the 243rd Army yesterday and the 243th Engineer Birthday tomorrow.  Sad day.

Max Wilbur Noah (born February 19, 1932) is a retired lieutenant general in the United States Army. He served as Comptroller of the United States Army and Commander of the United States Army Engineering School.[1][2][3]

2015 DISTINGUISHED GRADUATE OF THE UNITED STATES MILITARY ACADEMY AT WEST POINT AWARD RECIPIENT:

LTG (R) Max W. Noah ’53 - Commander of engineering troop units at all levels, key postings to the Army Staff and at TRADOC in the areas of operations research and financial management, and Comptroller of the U.S. Army, Lieutenant General Noah (Retired) accomplished much in his 35 years of active duty. Highlights of his career include conserving natural resources on the upper Mississippi River, developing cost effective procedures to help modernize the Army’s major weapon systems, constructing airfields in Israel after the Camp David Accords and teaching cadets “juice” as an assistant professor in USMA’s Department of Electricity. And his service didn’t stop in retirement. He continued to impact the Nation’s defense by working for Burdeshaw Associates and later his own defense consulting firm, and he volunteered his time with numerous non-profit organizations, including the Army Historical Foundation, Georgia Military College and WPAOG’s Finance Committee.
