FMNET Message for 2 MAR 2018

2210, 06 Mar 2018

FMNet Members:

1.As we watch the weather change with the patches of green grass appearing, I am reminded of a quote by former President John F. Kennedy, “Change is the law of life and those who look to the past or present are certain to miss the future.”

2.On March 9, 2018, the big celebration will be upon us.  Colonel Rick J. Hoerner, Commandant, U.S. Army Financial Management School (FMS), and Chief of the Finance Corps cordially invites you to attend CSM Annie L. Walker Change of Responsibility Ceremony, with a reception immediately following.

Training Opportunities:

1.FMNet highlights the Ultimate Training Environment System (UTES) Community of Interest (COI).  For all users who are not familiar with UTES or how to leverage this tool to conduct home station training, a blog posted within UTES COI provides an overview.  (https://www.milsuite.mil/book/community/spaces/afms/utes/blog/2017/11/27/utes-overview)  We encourage our users to leverage this superb tool; where financial managers (military and civilian) can train on identical systems used in real-time to provide Operational Contract Support (OCS)/Procure-to-Pay Business Process at home station.  Users can train together in the same room or across the globe. Reserve component

2.USAFMCOM hosts mandatory Quarterly Electronic-Commerce Systems Training at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston for select personnel of FORSCOM deploying Financial Management Organizations.
