Bud EMERSON Cancer Diagnosis

210, 15 Feb 2009

Bud EMERSON has cancer cells in his lungs.  He says the news is not real good but it is much better than it might have been.  Bud says,

“After taking a pet scan of my complete body about a week ago and a ct scan last Friday, 6 February I have been diagnosed to have some small cancer cells in my lungs.  According to my oncologist they are very small such that they can be controlled by using chemo but they cannot be eliminated.  It is the same cancer type that was in my kidney which is very aggressive.  I am to receive chemo once a week for three weeks followed by another C T scan.  The goal is to stop the growth of the cancer cells.  I have been told to continue my activities as I have been doing.  The outlook is good for limiting the growth of the cancer and keeping me with a good quality of life in the future.  I am concerned but not upset and am confident that my oncologist is on top of things and will provide the best medical treatment possible.”
