1773, 25 Oct 2016As a Senior Financial Management Advisor, leadership was instrumental in in being the first Army Reserve unit nominated to conduct a Resource Management mission and oversight of $7.6 billion dollars overseeing five Resource Management offices in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. As the Senior Enlisted Advisor in Afghanistan, was responsible for the professional development, and safety of 90 financial management Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, Marines and civilians in a J-8 cell. Due to financial management leadership, there were no loss of life or injuries occurred during combat resource management operations. As the Senior Financial Management, Technician for the 81st Regional Support Command (RSC); one of four in the Army Reserve, responsible for pay support for over 250 units and over 50k service members assigned. Supervised, managed and executed deployment finance packets during Soldiers Readiness Processing (SRP) for over 5,000 personnel which resulted in appropriate entitlements prior to departing into theatre. Coordinated, executed and led ahead of a one year schedule, the setup of Army Reserve finance operations under the new Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) servicing eight states. Aggressively recruited Army Reserve Soldiers to serve on active duty for operational support tours to ensure finance support for 250 units were effectively serviced under the new BRAC process which led to zero pay problems. Maintained 100% accountability of financial management service members assigned in two separate 81st RSC locations during the base closure and realignment process. Active member of the ASMC with an active CDFM-A.
