Veterans of 175th FMSC

Gentlemen, I stumbled across the RAFINO site and wondered if you could assist with a unit history project my SGM and I are working on. Could you post this note and the attached files to the site.

I am the current Director of the 175th FMSC and we are attempting to reestablish a connection with our history. One element of this is a Unit Day celebration on 1NOV as it coincides with the original activation of the unit in 1944 in New Guinea. See attached invite. If you find yourself on vacation on the island at that time we'd be honored to have you.

Additionally, I am trying to track down previous unit members to establish an oral history and collect any unit artifacts that folks might be willing to donate. If you have a few minutes to get nostalgic for us please fill out the word document with what you can and return to me.

We'd like to compile an oral history of members of the 175th across the years for the periods:
- November 1944 to February 1946: Pacific Theater of Operations
- July 1966 to September 1971: Fort Hood Texas
- October 1986 to the Present.

The unit was redesignated the 175th Financial Management Support Center and moved to Oahu, HI in 2013.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
