Subject: Checking In

Dear J  Claud,
Sorry that I have not been in touch lately.
I regret to inform you and our many Rafino  friends of my dear wife Ann's unexpected death on  January 28th of this year as a result of an accidental fall at home  last November which caused traumatic injury to her brain. We had been married for 64+ years and were  blessed with nine children,  all born at military bases during my 25 year active duty career.
In addition,  I came down with a serious case of diverticulitis which resulted in the loss of  20-30 pounds and a great deal of energy. Thankfully, due to an exercise program,  I have managed to regain most of the lost weight and most of the lost energy and stamina.
Our children have been wonderful in helping me through this very difficult phase of my life and I wish all of you a very merry and blessed Christmas.
