LTC VIRON E. BIRD To TAPS

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Lt. Col. (retired) Viron Edward Bird, 89, Kansas City, died December 31, 2009.

Edward was always a gentleman and a gentle man, an astute listener, and one who treated everyone he met with genuine respect. Edward taught his sons by setting example of how to treat others, and his integrity, patience, being an oasis of calm. He was never too busy to spend time with Marjorie or their sons.
