Please welcome COL DONALD E MEISLER as the latest member of our RAFINO family.

Biographical Resume: 

COL Don Meisler is a native of Denver, Colorado.  He graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, and was commissioned in 1988 through the ROTC program as a Second Lieutenant in the Field Artillery.  In 1991 he branch transferred to the Finance Corps.  He later earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from Saint Martins College, Lacey, Washington and a MSST from the United States Army War College.

His assignments include: Fire Direction Officer, Platoon Leader and Battalion Ammunition Officer, 3/5th Field Artillery Battalion, Schwabach, Germany;  Finance Officer, 501st Finance Support Unit, Fuerth, Germany;  Headquarters Detachment Commander/Disbursing Officer and Bravo Detachment Commander, 9th Finance Battalion, Fort Lewis, WA, with deployment in support of Operation Uphold Democracy; Garrison Adjutant, U.S. Army Garrison, Fort Lewis, WA;  Deputy Division Comptroller/G8, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Red Cloud, Korea;  Instructor/Writer, Advanced Management Accounting and Analysis Course, and Course Director, Finance Officer Basic Course, U.S. Army Finance School, Fort Jackson, SC;  Executive Officer/DMPO Chief, 215th Finance Battalion, Fort Sill, OK;  Commander, United States Army Special Operations Command Finance Support Unit (Airborne), Fort Bragg, NC  with deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; Deputy Commander, 18th Soldier Support Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, NC also with deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; Commander, U.S. Army Garrison–Casey, Camp Casey, Korea; Chief, Finance Policy, 175thFinancial Management Center, 19th ESC, 8th Army, Korea; Director, 18th Financial Management Center, 1st Theater Support Command, 3rd Army, Fort Bragg, NC.  COL Meisler's last position was the  Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff G-8, FORSCOM, Fort Bragg, NC. 

COL Meisler’s military education includes the Airborne Course, Field Artillery Officer Basic Course, Finance Officer Branch Qualification Course, Finance Officer Advanced Course, the Combined Arms and Services Staff School, the United States Army Command and General Staff College, and the United States Army War College. 

His military awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (OLC), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (7OLC), Army Commendation Medal (OLC), Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (3nd award), Parachutist Badge and the Canadian and German Parachutist Badges.
