COL Robert E. Yrjanson

Age 77, of Carmel, Indiana passed away October 29, 2014. He was born Dec 25, 1936 in Estelline, SD. He retired from the United States Army in April 1990 having served 29 years of active duty attaining the rank of Colonel.

He is survived by his wife, Sheryl (Smith) Yrjanson; son, Gary Yrjanson (wife Barbara and children, Dale (wife Nicole) Amanda Kronk); daughter, Bethany (husband Todd); grandson, Phillip Yrjanson; great grandson, Christian Kronk; brother, Richard Yrjanson(wife Susan and son Jon). Preceded in death by his son, Joel; parents, William and Anna Yrjanson of Hayti, SD; and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be 11 - 1 Tuesday November 4th followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services, 5215 N Shadeland Ave.
