Billy Barker Update - Outlook Good

Billy BARKER has Good news! After five long weeks the doctor finally removed my catheter 25 March 2011. I am scheduled for pelvic floor training with a nurse specialist next Tuesday 30 March 2011. For those unfamiliar with pelvic floor training it basically consists of Kegel exercises that help strengthen the pelvic muscles that provide urinary control. Even better the results of the blood lab test showed my PSA level was ZERO. That is the ideal (hoped for) level to achieve because that's a strong indicator that all the cancer was eradicated when the prostate was removed. I am scheduled for another follow-up visit in two months at which time the PSA will be checked once again. I want to thank all of you for your cards, letters, phone calls, e-mail, and most of all for your friendship and prayers. I am so blessed to have friends and family like YOU.
