SGM ALBERTO R. MUNOZ to TAPs

Albert passed at home at the age of 64.  Cause of death is undetermined.  For those that knew him, Albert spent most of his career at Fort Bragg working with the G8 Comptroller for the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command.  I had the opportunity to work with this great NCO during my tenure at USASOC.  Not only he was talented Finance NCO, he was also a passionate athlete and in 1995, earned recognition as the USASOC Athlete of the Year.  He coached the Fort Bragg Army 10-mile team for Army-wide competition (1997-1998) and in 2001, as a member of the Fort Bragg 10-mile team, the team won 1^st Place Master Team in the competition.

During retirement years, he was a certified track coach at various High Schools and a well-known coach in the Fayetteville/Fort Bragg area.  The viewing was yesterday 5 May 2014 at the Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills, NC.  Services and burial date is undetermined at this time.   He will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Texas.
