MEDITERRANEAN
CRUISE -1999
By Bob Radomski
The weather, as on our previous cruises, was great! We had 12 days
of warm and sunny weather which made for wonderful shore excursions.
First to Monaco, Eze and Nice. Rome was a long day but with a visit
to St. Peter's Basilica and the Fountain of Trevi the tour was well worth
it. In Sorrento some of us went to Pompeii, some to Capri and others
for a ride along the lovely coast of Amalfi. Then it was off to the
isle of Malta and into the Aegean Sea with a stop at Santorini. We
then spent a few more sunny days in Athens, climbed the Acropolis, rested,
shopped at the Placka, had a beer atMcDonalds (!) and enjoyed a farewell
dinner on the waterfront. The next morning we departed on our
separate flights back home. A memorable trip was had by all.
So, where do you suggest we go in 2001? |
