MESSAGE FROM YOUR 1ST V.P.

A couple of months ago, George Beckett, our RAFINO President, asked me to stand for election to the office of 1st VP.  I agreed, and was elected.  I'm honored to be asked to serve our Society and will do the best I can to help in making it an even better organization than it is already.  So far George has not assigned any tasks to me but did ask me to prepare a message to the membership.

My first message, therefore, is:  Think Y2K!  No, not in the computer sense, but in the sense that it is the year of our next reunion.  To those of you who've never been to one of our reunions, let me tell you that during that year 2000 Labor Day weekend we'll strictly have fun and enjoy good fellowship - with no business to worry about.  And, for those of us whose memories aren't what they used to be, don't worry because the NAME TAGS ARE IN LARGE PRINT!

So, especially for our members who were able to avoid assignment to the DC area while on active duty, this is your chance to visit, enjoy the sights, and be able to leave on your own time schedule.
