For those who are not keeping up with such things, there will be a total solar eclipse on 21 AUG 2017, visible in whole or in ppart across much of the CONUS
For those in Indianapolis the sun will be 91% obscured; In D.C. 81%; in Ft Jackson and Ft McPherson, 100%; down here in Dallas, only 76.2% and sunny Albuquerque will only suffer a 73.1% solar deficit.
Here is a link to a nice animation of what the eclipse will look like from your zip code - just plug in your zip code: http://digg.com/2017/solar-eclipse-zip-code?utm_source=digg&utm_medium=email
If you plan to view the eclipse, be sure you pay attention to the safety requirements/ NASA has published guidelines: https://www.space.com/35555-total-solar-eclipse-safety-tips.html
You can also Google eclipse viewing glasses and find a number of outlets providing inexpensive, disposable viewing glasses.
